Quit before you start

Posted May 1, 2017 by Mathieu Chiasson

Starting new projects or endeavors is fun. We get all excited about what we can accomplish and how exciting it'll be once we've completed our new project. After a while things get a little complicated and our little project doesn't go as planned.

We quit.

Or worst we simply put it off the later pile a.k.a. the never pile.

Why start something you know you won't finish?

If you know you're not going to go through the tough part of your grand plan, why start it?

Make sure everything you start that you know you'll have the energy, time and motivation to see it through. This means starting fewer things and saying no to many other things.

Quit before you start. Start only what really matters.
