An App to get kids to learn shapes in a fun interactive way

My latest app is one that touches a field I wanted to hop in for a long time. I've always been interested in helping kids learn in fun ways and now that I've done my first kids learning app I can tell you it won't be the last one that I'll do. I love it.

What's the app about?

Kids Draw and Learn Shapes will introduce over 20 shapes to kids. And really, can you name 20 shapes? I learned a few ones doing the app and I'm sure you may learn a few new ones too.

The app is all about learning in a non-obstrusive way. Kids are presented with nice animated dots which they connect to create shapes. The animation is vibrante and fun keeping kids interested in solving more shapes.

I encourage parents to play with the kids, helping them and asking them if they recognize the shapes they solve.

Multi-lingual and ajustable level

The app is in three languages, English, French and Spanish. The interface will be in the language of your choice and each time a shape is solved the shape name is shown in all three languages.

There are also many options to scale the level of interaction and learning of your kids.

Where to get it?

Kids Draw and Learn Shapes is available for both the iOS and Android plateform. Even if it's optimized for tablet and bigger screens it can still be very effective and fun on phones.

The Perfect Tool to Conquer Your New Year Resolutions

Like everybody else, you want to be better. Get rid of all those bad habits, you know which one they are but so hard to take away. What if there was a tool to help you defeat those bad habits.

It so happens that such a tool exists. I know about it because I built it with the help of my good friend hypnotist Cyrus. It by no mean is a magical tool. Like everything else in life, the first step is to want to change. If you don't want to take that first step, no tool, no professional, no technics will ever work.

So here's your first step. Say to yourself, out loud, I sincerely want to lose weight in the next year. (Replace lose weight by any affirmation of your choice)

With that in mind, our free hypnotherapy app is a sure way to help you achieve your goal (which you just said out loud... if you didn't what are you waiting for? Don't you really want to get rid of that bad habit?). It's designed to keep you focused on your goals and consistently move you toward success.

What's in the Hypnotherapy App?

It's the first of many apps to come but for now we've focused on the most common pitfalls of life. Those things people struggle to get a good grip on. Here are the sessions you can find in the app:

  • Improve your confidence and self-esteem
  • Lose weight permanently
  • Stop smoking forever
  • Overcome insomnia
  • Annihilate stress and anxiety
  • Fearless public speaking

If used the right way, hypnotherapy will get rid of any problems you may have. Remember the key...

The first step is to want to change

The second step is to download our Cyrus Hypnotherapy app!

If you need further motivation you can also download my other app BlissNotes which is filled with motivational quotes handpicked to motivate you to get better at life.

BlissNotes: My First App Built with Corona SDK

It's been a very long time I haven't wrote on my blog. A lot of things have changed since my last post. I'm still doing all the same geeky things I used to... websites, graphics, programming etc. But I've learned new things and tricks. The first being Corona SDK which I'll take some time to discuss in a later blog.

With Corona SDK, I'm able to develop phone apps just the way I like it. I've tried many tools and languages to develop apps but none really caught my attention. And none which relates so closely to one of my other hobbies, beer!

So as I worked with Corona SDK, I found I could do exactly what I love doing in a way I love working. So the plan was to start by doing a simple app, very simple but still useful. If you've read my posts in the past, you know that I love quotes and motivation and without even thinking further an app with motivational quotes seemed excellent for a first app using Corona SDK.

I've tried to design my app so its interface is fun to look at and go through quotes.

I've published it on Android and iPhone. You can get my free blissNotes app here.

Now that my first app is available, I'm already working on 2 other apps. One which will be available very, containing hypnotherapy tracks from the rising Canadian performer Hypnotist Cyrus. And a second one which will be a word game, a much better effort at a game I did in the past. Both of these are far in development already. Stay in touch via Twitter to get the latest news about those two upcoming apps.
