BlissNotes: My First App Built with Corona SDK

Posted Nov 12, 2013 by Mathieu Chiasson

It's been a very long time I haven't wrote on my blog. A lot of things have changed since my last post. I'm still doing all the same geeky things I used to... websites, graphics, programming etc. But I've learned new things and tricks. The first being Corona SDK which I'll take some time to discuss in a later blog.

With Corona SDK, I'm able to develop phone apps just the way I like it. I've tried many tools and languages to develop apps but none really caught my attention. And none which relates so closely to one of my other hobbies, beer!

So as I worked with Corona SDK, I found I could do exactly what I love doing in a way I love working. So the plan was to start by doing a simple app, very simple but still useful. If you've read my posts in the past, you know that I love quotes and motivation and without even thinking further an app with motivational quotes seemed excellent for a first app using Corona SDK.

I've tried to design my app so its interface is fun to look at and go through quotes.

I've published it on Android and iPhone. You can get my free blissNotes app here.

Now that my first app is available, I'm already working on 2 other apps. One which will be available very, containing hypnotherapy tracks from the rising Canadian performer Hypnotist Cyrus. And a second one which will be a word game, a much better effort at a game I did in the past. Both of these are far in development already. Stay in touch via Twitter to get the latest news about those two upcoming apps.
